EBENSBURG, Pa. - The UPMC outpatient center in Ebensburg has opened.
The facility project was announced in January of 2017 and brings both UPMC family practice and specialty care physicians and outpatient testing and therapy services to Cambria County.
Cambria Township engineer Jack Schaffer said he signed off on the final inspection Tuesday, and the facility opened Wednesday.
He said some general maintenance, like cleaning up debris, filling cracks in pavement and street-sweeping, needs to be completed.
UPMC senior director of public relations Susan Manko said outpatient services such as diagnostics services, X-ray, mammography and other ancillary services are now available.
She said specialty and primary care services will move over the next few months.
"This is a $19 million investment by UPMC close to home for our patients who live in Ebensburg and surrounding communities," said Manko.
