CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. — A Clearfield County man is behind bars after assaulting a family member and then an EMT August 29, state police say.
According to a press release, police were called to a home on the 600 block of Laura Street just after 7 p.m. in Chester Hill Boro for a report of a disturbance.
State police said that, upon arrival, they discovered that Gary Quick, 45, had assaulted a family member by trying to run them over with a vehicle.
The press release states that Quick then entered a neighbor's home without permission.
According to state police, as Quick was being transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield, he spit on an EMT.
The press release states that Quick was then taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
Online court dockets show that Quick faces one felony charge of aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury with extreme indifference, one felony charge of aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury to designated individuals, one charge of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, one charge of strangulation, one charge of simple assault, one charge of disorderly conduct to engage in fighting, one charge of possession of a controlled substance, one charge of criminal trespassing and one charge of harrassment.
Court dockets also show that Quick has a formal arraignment scheduled for September 27.
