Not long since his studio album, Worlds’, debut, Porter Robinson has amassed his large fame and fans along with fortune of wealth. According to CelebrityNetWorth, he has an estimated net worth of $20 million as of 2020.
As of 2021, he has two albums, Worlds (2014) and Nurture (2021), in his name. Other than that, he has released singles and EP including Spitfire (2011), Language (2012), Easy (2013), Sea of Voices (2014), Sad Machine (2014), Flicker (2014), Divinity (2014), Lionhearted (2014), Shelter: The Complete Edition (2017), and Look at the Sky (2021), according to AllMusic.
He first started emulating the Dance Dance Revolution’s soundtrack using Sony ACID Pro, which was first produced under the alias Ekowraith. In 2010, under his actual name, Porter released his first single, Say My Name. Then, he signed a one-EP deal with Skrillex’s OWSLA label. He released Spitfire in 2011, which went prominent online. Following the success, he went on to carry out prestigious remixes for high-profile artists such as Avicii and Lady Gaga.
He also paired with DJ Mat Zo to release Easy in 2013, backed with some heavyweight remixes from Andy C, Botnek, and Lemaitre. In 2014, Porter released his debut album, Worlds, topped on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums. He landed another hit with the Madeon collaboration Shelter in 2016.
Near the end of 2017, Robinson debuted the project Virtual Self and toured as Virtual Self throughout 2018, including in major festivals like Bonnaroo and Ultra Music Festival and earning a Best Dance Recording nomination for Ghost Voices in the 2019 Grammy Awards. Then he launched his Second Sky Music Festival in Oakland and traveled both as Virtual Self and under his own name.
Recently in 2021, Porter has released a notable album, Nurture, which is still in the process of gaining more fame in the music industry. Moreover, it is a noteworthy point to be looked upon as he told NME that this album helped him rise above his anxiety and evolve him.
He first remembered being “so obsessed” to make something new and something better than his previous work and was super distorted in his thoughts. While creating his new work, he went blank in his head, which eventually made him get out in the real world for real-life experiences, so he crawled out of the cage through his own idea after his refreshment with some pop-rock from the 2000s.

Thus he poured his love for music giving birth to his second album, Nurture. All the process and progress for making the album, Nurture helped him look into the music with a wider perspective and deepen the love for music.
Porter once talked about his first hit track, Say My Name to Image-Line, saying it resulted from an effort to make an aggressive, fun, and ultra-detailed electro-house track that sounded distinct from what the greats at the time were doing. He added that “the big-sounding hook and the incredibly goofy vocal created a compelling combination that resonated with people.” The track eventually topped on the Beatport Electro House charts, but originally, he wanted to enter the top 100 with the track, which exceeded his expectations.
Porter Robinson was born on 15 July 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. His father’s name is Nick Robinson, but there is no information about his mother.
He attended Woods Charter School in his hometown. He has three siblings; Nick, Mark, and Robert Robinson. At the age of 28, Porter has been dating Rika Mikuriya since 2017.
Although Porter has become a professional musician, his road for a career was started as an inspiration from the popular arcade game Dance Dance Revolution. His older brother brought home its copy when Porter was just 12. By the age of 14, the “Mirror” producer piqued an interest in his works and sold his productions to companies earning him $364. Since then Robinson family has supported Porter in his career in music.
At the age of 18, he conducted his first-ever live show on his first visit to a nightclub, and he saw all the fans reacting to his music, which had him hooked to the profession. Robinson then went to Germany for his second live performance, where the language barrier was cleared through his gig.
Gradually, Porter honed his love and skills for music along the way earning him praise and wealth and has started building a career of his own in the music field.
