One killed in weekend crash on I-99 in Patton Township

State Police have issued a release on a fatal crash which occurred Saturday in Patton Township shortly before 2am.

According to the release, the crash occurred on Interstate 99 North in the area of mile marker 72.

Police say the driver, 22-year-old Jordan Henry, failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, strike an embankment, overturn multiple times, and come to a rest on its roof off the roadway.

The release says that Henry, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle resulting in fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As a result of the accident, police say the right lane of Interstate 99 North was closed from mile marker 71 to 73 for approximately five hours.
