JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — The future of what’s become a Jackson Township summer staple looks to be uncertain. According to Township Manager David Hirko, the Jackson Heritage Festival will not be happening this year. Hirko says he’s close to retiring, so this year he stepped down from being the event’s lead organizer, and no one stepped up to take over the planning process. The annual festival was held for 15 years in Veterans Memorial Park near the Jackson Township Senior Center and fire hall in Cambria County.
