Adama was born in August 1966 in Paris. After he finished his training in the dramatic arts, he began acting in the theater in the 1980s. Adama became well-known because he was in a lot of productions over the course of his career.
Some examples of this kind of production are the movies Alex Hugo, Maroni, Sam, Inhuman Resources, Prise au piège, Troubled Waters, La Mante, Felicitá, The Bare Necessity, Gang of the Caribbean, SK1, Baise-moi, and others.
Adama’s career went to a new level in 2021 when he played an ex-convict and assassin named Léonard Kone in one of the most popular foreign Netflix shows, Lupin. The TV show was based on the books that Maurice LeBlanc, a French author, wrote about the character in 1905. One reason the show was so popular was that Adama played a part in it.
The series is based on the famous French novel about Arsène Lupin, who is known all over the world as a gentleman thief and a master of disguises. Over the course of many years, the idea has been used in many different kinds of movies and TV shows, including one animated series.
Assane Diop, a Senegalese immigrant, hung himself in prison because he was ashamed that his boss, Hubert Pellegrini, had set him up for stealing a diamond necklace. His life is shown in the series.
After more than twenty years, Assane’s son decided to get even with the Pellegrini family. His late father gave him a book about Arsène Lupin as a gift. This book gave him the drive to do what he did.
Shortly after the first episode of the series came out, it quickly became one of the most-watched non-English shows on the streaming service. Lupin is also the first French TV show to make Netflix’s list of the Top 10 shows. The show is currently number one in Poland, Brazil, and Spain, among other places.
Adama’s most recent performance was in the 2022 TV series L’ile aux 30 Cercueils (The Island of 30 Coffins), where he played the role of Yannick Lantry.
