DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The Human Society of Harrisburg (HSHA) is currently caring for over a dozen dogs that were rescued from a dangerous situation.
According to HSHA, 17 "small dogs and puppies" were found back in November by HSHA's Humane Law Officer.
The home they were living in was revealed to have been a house in Enola.
Acting quickly, HSHA has already began treating them as their matted fur, also found to be covered in feces, requires special attention.
HSHA asks that the public provide any donations they are able to so that the dogs can continue receiving the treatment needed for their recovery.
While the 17 canines are not available for adoption yet, HSHA says they are focusing their efforts on keeping the animals safe, comfortable, and healthy to get them nourished enough to go to new loving homes.
